Bronze Cross

Highest award of the Association for gallantry, granted for special heroism or action in the face of extraordinary risk.

Known as the “Scout’s VC”. A Bermondsey Scout, Frank Davis, was awarded one posthumously in World War Two.

Silver Cross

Awarded for gallantry in circumstances of considerable risk.

One Southwark Scout Group was collectively awarded Silver Crosses in World War Two

Gilt Cross

Awarded for gallantry in circumstances of moderate risk.
