We regularly apply for grants to supplement our subs income and allow us to do more exciting things with the young people and provide a better and more adventurous programme. Here are two ways you can easily help our fundraising through your everyday shopping.

Co-op Local Community Fund

The Co-op have pledged to give us £1,000 over the next year, to fund two adventurous camping trips for the Scouts. However, if more people support us then they’ll increase that amount – this is where you come in! If you’re not already a Co-op member you will need to join first – it only costs £1 and allows you to access a variety of discounts in their shops.

What you need to do

1. If you’re not already a member, join the Co-op by going to this page and signing up via the app, web, or in-store.
2. If you’re using the app, select “Community” in the bottom left, “choose a cause”, and select “16th Bermondsey and Southwark Scout Group”. Otherwise, follow this link and choose us as your cause.
3. Scan your membership card (or the QR code in the app – choose “wallet” at the bottom) every time you shop at the Co-op.

In addition to increasing the amount of money we receive, every time you scan your card or app after spending £5 at the Co-op, you will be entered into a monthly prize draw to win £500 for you and £5000 for us! Further details available here.

Easyfundraising

We’ve registered 16th Bermondsey And Southwark Scout Group with Easyfundraising, which means over 8,000 retailers (including Amazon, Tesco, Nike, and Argos) will now donate to us for FREE every time you use Easyfundraising to shop with them.

Once you’re signed up, before you shop online, go to EasyFundraising and click through to the retailer. They’ll then make a donation to us, at no extra cost to you!
